Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp were involved in a heated exchange on the sidelines during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at West Ham on Saturday.
And it doesn’t seem like it is over.
There was a very intriguing situation as Salah waited to come on to the pitch as a sub in the second half.
Of course, Salah being on the bench for a must-win game for Liverpool is a story in itself but considering his recent displays you probably couldn’t argue with it.
What happened between Klopp, Salah at West Ham?
Klopp appeared to say something to Salah and the Egyptian forward didn’t react well as they watched on as West Ham made it 2-2 against Liverpool late in the second half.
It was all very unpleasant as Salah was pushed away by Darwin Nunez as Liverpool’s three subs of Salah, Nunez and Joe Gomez waited to come on.
Salah was incensed.
What did they say?
This is what Klopp said about the exchange after the game as he was asked if he could share what was said between himself and Salah.
“No. We spoke already in the dressing room and for me that is done,” Klopp told TNT Sports in the UK.
Salah was then quoted as saying the following by The Athletic’s James Pearce as he walked through the mixed zone in the tunnel area at West Ham after the game.
“If I speak today there will be fire,” Salah said, as he did not stop for interviews with reporters when asked.
