Nebraska soccer shuts out Minnesota 2-0


The Huskers traveled up to Minnesota to begin its final week of the regular season. Nebraska continued its strong season, shutting out the Golden Gophers 2-0 to improve to 11-2-3.

Minnesota outshot Nebraska in the match, 16-10, but only managed to produce two shots on goal. Keeper Sami Hauk secured both shots on goal to earn her fifth shutout of the season. The Huskers delivered six shots on goal off their 10 total shots in the match.

Sarah Weber nailed the first goal for Nebraska off her only shot on goal in the game. Weber finished with two shots in the game, one being the aforementioned goal and the other hitting the crossbar. Florence Belzile scored the second goal for Nebraska. Belzile scored off a setup by Gwen Lane and Eleanor Dale.

The Huskers will return home to face Purdue on Thursday night for its final home game of the season. The match is set for 7:05 p.m. and can be viewed on B1G+.
