The 27-year-old has impressed for the Reds this term, recording 13 goals and four assists across all competitions and putting in some blistering performances.

Even so, he and the club are at a crossroads where the Colombia international will either have his contract renewed or be allowed to leave Anfield. Díaz initially made the move from Porto to Liverpool in 2022 and hasn’t had a new deal since then, with his current contract ending in 2027. Despite three years remaining on that contract, there is still the feeling that a decision needs to be made on his long-term future.

Liverpool will be looking to bring in £75 million for Diaz if he does leave, with PSG being one of the interested clubs.

Barcelona would also want the winger but their financial situation would make it difficult for the Blaugrana to make an offer that the Reds would be happy with.

Interestingly, Diaz’s agent, Raul Costa, also represents Ruben Amorim, who has been heavily linked with the Liverpool job when Jurgen Klopp departs this summer after taking over at Anfield in 2015.

– La Gazzetta dello Sport have listed a number of player Juventus are monitoring. For the wing, disgraced Manchester United player Mason Greenwood, Lazio’s Mattia Zaccagni and Lille’s Edon Zhegrova are all shortlisted. For the midfield, they are looking at Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners, Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino and Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson.

The 18-year-old has featured on Barca’s first-team bench once but hasn’t yet made it onto the pitch for Cules head coach Xavi Hernandez, and it is felt that he could get more opportunities elsewhere.
