The report indicates that Man United are preparing to firm up their interest for a summer move for the centre-back as they also await the arrival of prospective sporting director Dan Ashworth.

Harry Maguire‘s deal is set to expire in 2025, which could see United part ways with the England international defender this summer to ensure he does not leave as a free agent. Meanwhile, it is expected that Raphaël Varane will also depart the club this summer, upon the expiration of his contract.

It is reported that Man United could also see other high-profile players leave the club this summer. Casemiro is understood to be departing the fallen Premier League giants, whilst Anthony Martial is also expected to part ways with United.
