Balanced scoring lifts Winnacunnet boys soccer

HAMPTON – The Winnacunnet High School boys soccer team had four different goal scorers in a 4-0 win over Timberlane on Thursday in a Division I match.

Oliver Duffy, Zane Lepere and Owen Janetos each scored in the first half, and Noah Souther added a second-half tally for the Warriors.

“This is the second game and second win this season where we had multiple goal scorers,” Winnacunnet head coach Nick Rowe said. “In fact we had four different guys in each of the two games. It’s nice to know that we have some options this early on and can build from it.”

Bryce Molnar had two assists in the win, and Souther had one.

Tyler Blank and Peyton Gemme split time in the Winnacunnet net, and each had two saves, earning the shutout.

KENNEBUNK, Maine – James Melino scored in the first half for the Hawks and Theo Pow scored in the second for Kennebunk in this Class A South match. Marshwood goalie Carter Shaw had eight saves.

Carter Shaw made 8 saves in net for Marshwood.
